Overview of Cable Tray Types and Materials

Galvanized cable trays in Tanzania are commonly made from pre-galvanized steel, which provides corrosion resistance and durability for industrial and commercial applications. The main types include: Light Duty Trays: Suitable for small cable loads, generally more affordable. Medium Duty Trays: Designed for moderate cable loads, offering a balance between strength and cost.

Heavy Duty Trays: Used for large industrial installations, supporting heavy cable bundles, and priced higher due to material thickness and load capacity. Some trays are perforated, allowing better ventilation and easier cable management, while others are solid-bottom or ladder-style for specific installation needs.
