  2. Trapeze Hangers: These use one or more threaded rods to suspend a horizontal bar from which the tray is mounted. They provide balanced loading and protect cables from compression . Pre-galvanized carbon steel trapeze hangers are common for indoor use.
  3. Hanger Channels and Clamps: Channels with pre-drilled holes (e.g., 9/16” diameter) accept 1/2” threaded rods, allowing trays to be suspended in a trapeze or side-rail configuration. Vertical splices can also be used to support vertical tray runs .
Fasteners and Load Considerations

Threaded rod fasteners secure the rod to the structural element, transferring the load safely and preventing sagging or movement . Fasteners may include beam clamps, channel nuts, or concrete anchors, depending on the mounting surface. Proper spacing of supports is critical: connectors between tray sections should fall between support points, and the support span should not exceed the tray length . This ensures safe load distribution and compliance with standards like NEMA VE-2.
