Adding VLANs to H3C Core Switches

Prepared for preliminary research by the ALFA PRO knowledge desk. Confirm optical interfaces, port or core capacity, electrical input and output, enclosure protection, thermal design and installation limits against current standards and product documentation.

VLANs on H3C core switches are configured by creating VLANs, assigning ports, setting trunk or hybrid modes, and optionally configuring VLAN interfaces for inter-VLAN routing. Step 1: Enter System ViewAccess the switch via SSH, Telnet, or console and enter system view to start configuration: CodeCopy system-view Step 2: Create VLANsCreate VLANs using the vlan command. You can create multiple VLANs in bulk: CodeCopy vlan 10[H3C-vlan10] name Sales[H3C-vlan10] quit vlan 20[H3C-vlan20] name Engineering[H3C-vlan20] quit By default, VLAN 1 exists and cannot be removed.

VLAN I

Ds range from 1 to 4094 for user configuration.
